شاركت الجمهورية العربية السورية في أعمال الدورة الثانية للاجتماع الوزاري لمنتدى التعاون العربي – الهندي، إلى جانب الدورة الرابعة لاجتماع كبار المسؤولين، التي انعقدت في العاصمة الهندية نيودلهي، في إطار تعزيز التعاون والشراكة بين الهند والدول العربية
وأعلنت وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين، عبر منصاتها الرسمية، أن وفدًا من الوزارة ترأسه محمد زكريا لبابيدي مثّل سوريا في الاجتماعات، مؤكدة أهمية المشاركة في دفع مسارات التنسيق والتعاون المشترك
وبيّنت الوزارة أن اجتماع كبار المسؤولين ناقش مسودتي “إعلان نيودلهي” والبرنامج التنفيذي لمنتدى التعاون العربي – الهندي للفترة الممتدة بين عامي 2026 و2028، حيث جرى التوافق عليهما واعتمادهما لاحقًا خلال الاجتماع الوزاري الثاني، بما يسهم في تعزيز العمل المؤسسي وتوسيع مجالات التعاون بين الجانبين
وأضافت أن رئيس الوفد السوري التقى، على هامش الاجتماع الوزاري، رئيس الوزراء الهندي ناريندرا مودي، الذي شدد على حرص بلاده على تطوير علاقات التعاون مع سوريا في مختلف القطاعات
كما عقد الوفد لقاءات مع وزير الشؤون الخارجية الهندي سوبرامانيام جايشانكار وعدد من كبار المسؤولين في وزارة الخارجية الهندية، تم خلالها بحث سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية وتكثيف التنسيق المشترك بما يخدم مصالح البلدين
وأشارت الوزارة إلى أن الوفد السوري أجرى سلسلة لقاءات مع رؤساء وأعضاء الوفود المشاركة في المنتدى، إضافة إلى اجتماعات مع الأمين العام للمنظمة الاستشارية القانونية الآسيوية – الأفريقية (AALCO)، والأمين العام للمنظمة الآسيوية – الأفريقية للتنمية الريفية (AARDO)
وشارك الوفد كذلك في ندوة بعنوان “المشهد العالمي والعربي” التي نظمها المجلس الهندي للشؤون العالمية (ICWA)، إلى جانب حضوره افتتاح غرفة التجارة والصناعة والزراعة العربية – الهندية (IACCIA)، في خطوة تعكس الاهتمام بتعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي والتنموي بين الجانبين
