دعت الرئيسة المنتخبة للمجلس الوطني للمقاومة الإيرانية، مريم رجوي، في اجتماع كبير تحت عنوان “إيران: آفاق التغيير وسياسة الاتحاد الأوروبي” في البرلمان الأوروبي ببروكسل يوم الأربعاء 24 أيار/مايو، إلى حملة دولية لوقف عمليات الإعدام في إيران.
وبحسب منظمة مجاهدي خلف الإيرانية، شارك العشرات من أعضاء والمعارضة المنظمة، ولا سيما المجلس الوطني للمقاومة الإيرانية.
وبحسب زعيمة المعارضة الإيرانية، فقد تم إعدام 112 سجينًا منذ بداية مايو. وأشارت رجوي إلى أنه على الرغم من أن النظام يستخدم عمليات الإعدام لخلق جو من الرعب كجزء من محاولة لمنع المزيد من الانتفاضات، إلا أن الشعب الإيراني يحتج على عمليات الإعدام الوحشية هذه في طهران ومدن أخرى.
وانتقدت رجوي بشدة عدم تحرك ، مما يؤدي إلى تفعيل آلية الزناد snapback المدرجة في الاتفاق النووي الإيراني لعام 2016، وبالتالي استعادة العقوبات المفروضة بموجب قرارات مجلس الأمن الستة.
كما حثت رجوي على الاعتراف بحق الشعب الإيراني في إسقاط النظام، وبالحق الخاص للشباب الإيراني في القتال ضد حرس الملالي.
وأعرب أعضاء البرلمان الأوروبي عن دعمهم للانتفاضة التي اجتاحت إيران منذ سبتمبر 2022 ودعوة الشعب الإيراني إلى الحرية وشددوا على الدور الحيوي المتنامي للمقاومة المنظمة بقيادة المجلس الوطني للمقاومة الإيرانية ومكونه الأساسي، منظمة مجاهدي خلق إيران.
ووصفوا خطة السيدة رجوي المكونة من 10 نقاط لإيران حرة بأنها برنامج ديمقراطي عميق ينبغي على الاتحاد الأوروبي دعمه.
لقد دعموا نضال الشعب الإيراني من أجل جمهورية ديمقراطية تقوم على فصل الدين عن الدولة وأقروا أنه على مدى أربعة عقود، سعى تحالف المجلس الوطني للمقاومة الإيرانية بلا كلل إلى التغيير الديمقراطي.
ويوم الثلاثاء، أعلن حوالي 110 من قادة العالم السابقين البارزين يمثلون أكثر من 45 دولة عن مبادرة عالمية جديدة تطالب المجتمع الدولي بدعم المتظاهرين المؤيدين للديمقراطية في إيران وإدراج حرس الملالي على القائمة السوداء.
ودعت الرسالة قادة كندا و بقولهم “نعتقد أن الشعب الإيراني هو من يقرر مستقبله”.
