ذكرت المواقع الإخبارية المحلية و الغربية تنظيم اللاجئين السوريين مظاهرات حاشدة في هولندا يوم الأحد 1 أيلول ، و بحسب صحيفة de Kanttekening الهولندية ووفقًا لما ترجمه مركز الصحافة الاجتماعية اليوم الثلاثاء 3 أيلول (سبتمبر) خرج الناس إلى الشوارع في مدينة أوتريخت للفت الانتباه إلى الوضع في سوريا. وكانت الرسالة الرئيسية هي أن سوريا ليست آمنة ما دام الرئيس بشار الأسد في السلطة.
و بحسب الصحيفة يقدر خالد رائد، أحد المنظمين باسم “السوريين الأحرار في هولندا”، عدد المشاركين بنحو 5000 شخص، لكن الأرقام الرسمية غير معروفة. ويوضح على فيسبوك وتيك توك أن مصطلح “السوريين الأحرار” يشير إلى السوريين الذين يعارضون النظام الحالي.
وقال رائد خلال التظاهرة: “نحن هنا اليوم لنعلمكم أن سوريا ليست آمنة مادام بشار الأسد رئيسًا”. نريد أن نوضح لقادة الاتحاد الأوروبي والحكومة الهولندية أننا وحدنا، السوريين أنفسهم، نستطيع تحديد ما إذا كانت سوريا بلدا آمنًا. ربما يكون الوضع آمنًا لشخص موالي للنظام، ولكن ليس لـ “السوري الحر”. الجيش السوري يقتل شعبه”.
