وأوضح منسق الشؤون الإنسانية للأمم المتحدة في سوريا، آدم عبد المولى، في بيان صدر اليوم، أن زيارته إلى السويداء أمس، والتي جرت بدعم وتسهيلات من الحكومة السورية، أتاحَت للوفد الأممي الاطلاع ميدانيًا على الأوضاع الإنسانية والتواصل المباشر مع الأهالي المتضررين والمسؤولين المحليين ومنظمات المجتمع المدني
وأشار عبد المولى إلى أن أكثر من 190 ألف شخص نزحوا نتيجة الأحداث الأخيرة، معظمهم يقيمون في مدارس تحولت إلى مراكز إيواء، محذرًا من انعكاسات ذلك على العملية التعليمية مع اقتراب العام الدراسي الجديد، ومؤكدًا ضرورة إيجاد حلول تضمن استمرار تعليم الأطفال
كما لفت إلى أن القطاع الصحي يواجه ضغطًا كبيرًا في ظل النقص الحاد في الأدوية الأساسية، فيما يعمل الكادر الطبي بظروف صعبة ويحتاج إلى دعم عاجل للحفاظ على الأرواح
وشدد عبد المولى على أن الأوضاع الإنسانية في السويداء، إلى جانب مناطق النزوح في درعا وريف دمشق، بالغة القسوة، حيث يتحمل المدنيون العبء الأكبر للعنف، مبينًا أن منظمات المجتمع المدني المحلي تقوم بدور محوري في دعم النازحين والمجتمعات المضيفة، ما يستدعي توفير موارد مستدامة تمكنها من توسيع نطاق عملها
كما أوضح أن الأسواق المحلية تعاني من نقص حاد في السلع الأساسية وارتفاع كبير في الأسعار، مؤكدًا أن المساعدات الإنسانية وحدها غير كافية، وأن استئناف التدفق الآمن للسلع التجارية يعد شرطًا أساسيًا لاستقرار الوضع
وأضاف أن الأمم المتحدة، بالتنسيق مع الهلال الأحمر العربي السوري، تواصل تسيير قوافل إغاثية تصل إلى أكثر من 300 ألف شخص، غير أن محدودية التمويل ما تزال تعيق الاستجابة الكاملة
