With two cuffed hands before one’s chest as chains were making a noise revealing the chains’ weight, a group of arrested young men sent from “Palestine security branch” (the biggest security branches and which is found for investigation, torture and other missions only Allah knows) , reach Saydnaya military prison as a trust. Palestine security branch sends the political prisoners to Saydnaya prison where the jailers receive them with “train of joy” in a way of mockery; this prison is known with “The Red Dragon”.
With sad tone and deep breath, the young man “Obeida” aged 28 years from Idlib city narrated to us the journey of bitter torture he had had in Saydnaya prison, he said:” I only could feel the paining hits when we were asked to enter the prison where my mates and I were cuffed with chains which tied us together in one row as we were blindfolded tightly. We could hear only cursing and badmouthing while ordering us to make sounds like parking and braying … as well as they beated us from all directions with whips”.
This survivor could not proceed his speech without taking a while to smoke in order to ease his grieve. He added:” Some of us stumbled falling on the floor which was a chance for jailers to step on us barbarically. The worse was yet to come. We were ordered to lay on our backs on the floor in corridors raising our legs up so they can best us 7 painful strikes; who could not bear them.. he would be beaten all over again. This is what they call “train of joy”; the first moments to receive the prisoners.
Obaida went on demonstrations with his friends against oppression calling for freedom and dignity, but he left his dignity outside the prison away from his freedom. In prison there is groaning of people who are forgotten behind walls where violations of humanity are committed.
The young man continue”: In vengeance for the victories of the revolution on the ground, regime take revenge from the helpless weaker people “prisoners”. Most of the time IDs of prisoners who were killed out of torture, shot dead or even out of medical carelessness, are sent to the ptisoners’ relatives . The ID is usually accompanied in this case with a health report claiming the prisoner had several diseases just to justify his death; where his body is not delivered to clear the evidences of torture.
This guy survived this prison miraculously after media forgot the arrested. There must be a continual prayer breaking those high walls of prison. Arrested are our great pain.
