“No one has a dreamy life or a heart without sadness, but who are behind the bars and in torturing basements remain the most suffering pains”. These were the words of Abo-mahmood who was released from Hama central prison after several years in which he had gone through such different kinds of mistreatment and deprivations, and nights darker than nights of long winter.
Abo-mahmood proceeded saying: “my quite city became regime’s concern through its central prison, that is located to the west of the city with a view on Alassy river while in the west on Alsinaa district at the time the rest of its sides are surrounded by Alqossor neighborhood”.
He stood up to change his seat for he was in a bad condition so that he can not sit for a long, and said with a heartbreak : ” Hama.. my wounded city in which there is no house in that have an arrested, martyr or displaced; whose citizens went through pain twice where the fathers refused oppression.. and despite pain has increased, the sons continue the struggle which will continue without end Allah willing till freedom sun rise on the city”.
Abo-mahmood brought out from his pocket a medicine taking in some of it so he can regain his breaths, he narrated describing the prison where he was arrested “the prison started with a white door then the Islamic prisoners department, different crimes one and of course provisional detention one which is separated from the rest departments for detaining pro regime called “shabeha”; a department is labelled ” Riot department”.. what a department it is .. it is for everyone who called for freedom in Hama, Idlib, Aleppo, Damascus, Deir-Alzure and Homs, they are brothers of honor who got arrested since 2011″
The question arouses “Are these prisoners suffer only from jailers of regime?
Or from bad people in prison who change according to the condition who become another part?
He shook his head filled with concerns and told us with a grieve tone about his miseries from ‘two sides of pliers’: ” with instructions being given to break honest by officers and jailers of regime that their prison walls are only higher than their empty heads, the scum of prisoners works on use brutality and violence to provide wrong image of honest arrested that they are terrorists. We face the worst due to conspiring between the two parties( jailers and the scum prisoners).
As well as the arbitrary trials on arrested which reveal regime exposed intention to carried out executions on many prisoners.
With a breath that broke my heart before breaking Abo-mahmood breaths .. ah.. ah, he said while narrating to us” Terrorism court which regime comes up is found to charge innocents with unreal crimes being the pretext with which illegitimate-regime justifies its crimes with international silence and greedy pro regime .. my beloved Syria.. may Allah save it. Although I have survived from their prison, I continue praying for who are still there under brutal men mercy may Allah release them soon.. gaining Freedom that its signs can be almost seen”.
Wishing him recovery from tuberculosis with which he was infected in prison, Abo-mahmood parted from us with a smile of hope on his face.
