During the past five years of the Syrian revolution, Aleppo city has witnessed many important developments, where its citizens have gone through them including the joyful and bitter events. After the peaceful revolution started to spread among the city citizens, a new stage of the city launches affecting the revolution in general all around Syria, Aleppo is not like the rest cities; it is the northern capital and center for being the economic and industrial capital of Syria, the thing makes its join to the Syrian revolution something of large-scale.
The peaceful uprising turns to protestations in all the city neighborhoods, where the demonstrations have had important impact on people’s life so that the civilians of this city went through joy, sadness and challenge against the oppressor regime.
Since revolution has to scarify the precious, and that there is a big price people have to pay; convoys of martyrs of Aleppo citizens started one after another especially after the number of citizens attending the martyrs’ funerals increased for the brutal confrontation between regime security and protesters in the crowded demonstrations of the city citizens. That oppression pursued by regime forces did not work out because revolution has launched already aiming to gain freedom by civilians whose steps were firmed. This was the case till peaceful uprising turned to armed revolution when the Free army entered the neighborhoods of Aleppo city in 2012 where more than two third the city became liberated which later were known as liberated neighborhoods and then as eastern Aleppo neighborhoods.
Eastern Aleppo neighborhoods lived in flourishing and prosperity in 2013 at the time western parts of Aleppo held by regime were in chaos, monopolizing and extortion to the extent life became unbearable so that citizens headed the eastern parts controlled by rebels despite the bombardment of them.
Russia, Iran, Assad regime and even the world countries which pretend to befriend the revolution did not like this; regime started a bloody intensive campaign in which it has used all the varied kinds of weapons considering warplanes and launchers against the liberated areas. Residential buildings collapsed on their owners, that scores massacres against the people of Aleppo were committed. Regime was not content about this, it has asked help from the Russian air force which bombed the understructure and needful facilities including schools, clinics and hospitals.
May be there are many reasons behind working on Aleppo falling, such as that the international community refuses to see revolution winning over Assad. The international community wants through Aleppo falling to force the vision of the political solution of regime and its Iranian and Russian allies for the crisis in Syria. That is why that conspiracy against Aleppo withstand is a political bargain used by them.
The siege on the city and its strong people has started with intensifying the bombardment and direct offensive of humans. Rebels inside besieged Aleppo are all alone where regime started to gain further points of the former capturing neighborhood after another, with severe lack of the minim life necessities. Despite these dire situations, rebels and civilians are standing strong till the moment of speaking recording the greatest withstand ever.
