لقي طبيب مختص بالأمراض العصبية مصرعه، وأصيب ثلاثة من أفراد عائلته بجروح بالغة، جراء حادث سير وقع على الأوتوستراد الدولي دمشق – درعا، قرب مجمّع الغزالي.
أفادت المعلومات بأن الحادث نجم عن انقلاب السيارة التي كان يستقلها الدكتور عبد المعين الربداوي، المنحدر من مدينة طفس في ريف درعا الغربي، ما أدى إلى وفاته على الفور.
وأُصيب في الحادث ثلاثة من أفراد عائلته بجروح خطيرة، حيث جرى نقلهم إلى أحد المشافي القريبة لتلقي العلاج.
والدكتور الربداوي في الخمسينيات من عمره، ويُعد من الأطباء المعروفين في محافظة درعا، إذ شغل سابقاً منصب مدير مشفى درعا الوطني ومدير مشفى مدينة طفس الوطني.
وتشهد بعض الطرقات الرئيسية في سوريا حوادث سير متكررة، غالباً ما تعود أسبابها إلى السرعة الزائدة أو سوء البنية التحتية للطريق.
