أثار قرار المفوضية الأوروبية وقف تشغيل أنظمة التكييف في الطوابق السفلية من مقرها الرئيسي “بيرلايمونت” في بروكسل موجة من الغضب والاستياء بين الموظفين، وسط اتهامات بوجود تمييز في تطبيق القرار داخل المؤسسة.
ووفقاً لما نقلته صحيفة “بوليتيكو”، تلقى موظفو المفوضية، يوم الجمعة، إشعاراً يفيد بإيقاف تشغيل أجهزة التكييف في الطوابق الممتدة من الأول إلى السابع، وذلك في إطار إجراءات مواجهة موجة الحر الشديدة التي تشهدها بلجيكا.
وأعرب عدد من الموظفين عن استيائهم من القرار، مؤكدين أن أنظمة التكييف استمرت في العمل بالطوابق العليا التي تضم مكاتب المفوضين وكبار المسؤولين. ووصف أحد المسؤولين العاملين في الطوابق السفلية الوضع بأنه “أشبه بالإقطاعية”، فيما اعتبر مسؤول آخر أن القرار “مخزٍ” ويعكس ازدواجية في التعامل مع الموظفين.
ويأتي هذا الجدل في وقت تشهد فيه بلجيكا موجة حر غير مسبوقة منذ بداية عام 2026، بعدما سجلت درجات الحرارة 35.3 درجة مئوية، مع استمرار سريان التحذيرات الحمراء والبرتقالية في معظم أنحاء البلاد.
