تتجه أسواق حمص القديمة إلى إطلاق المرحلة الثانية من مشروع إعادة الترميم والتأهيل، ضمن خطة واسعة تستهدف إعادة الحياة إلى الأسواق التراثية والحفاظ على طابعها المعماري والتاريخي، بكلفة إجمالية تُقدّر بنحو 11 مليار ليرة سورية
وأكد أمين سر لجنة أسواق حمص التراثية، سامر صابرين، أن أعمال المرحلة الجديدة ستبدأ خلال الأسبوعين المقبلين، على أن تستمر قرابة شهرين، تمهيدًا لإعادة افتتاح الأسواق أمام الأهالي والتجار والزوار
ويتضمن المشروع تنفيذ أعمال ترميم شاملة لعدد من الأسواق والمرافق التراثية، وفي مقدمتها سوق الصاغة، حيث تشمل الأعمال إعادة تأهيل الأسقف والواجهات الحجرية والأقواس القديمة، إلى جانب تطوير البنية التحتية، وتركيب شبكة إنارة حديثة، وتأمين خدمات الاتصالات والإنترنت داخل الأسواق
كما يجري العمل على إدخال تحسينات إنشائية وفنية تحافظ على الطابع التراثي للمكان، من خلال استبدال بعض ألواح التغطية المعدنية بأسقف “فايبر” ملونة تسمح بمرور الإضاءة الطبيعية وتوزيعها بشكل أفضل داخل السوق، مع الإبقاء على العناصر المعمارية التقليدية، ولا سيما “الجمالون” التاريخي في سوق الصاغة، الذي جرى دعمه بأسقف “فايبر كلاس”، بالتوازي مع تنفيذ أعمال الكهرباء وصيانة المزاريب والأسقف القديمة
وأشار صابرين إلى أن المشروع شمل حتى الآن ترميم 14 سوقًا أثريًا، إضافة إلى خان القيسارية، موضحًا أن التنفيذ جرى بالتعاون بين منظمة التنمية السورية وغرفتي تجارة وصناعة حمص، وبدعم من التجار والصناعيين، في إطار شراكة تهدف إلى إعادة تنشيط الأسواق والحفاظ على الإرث العمراني للمدينة
وبيّن أن أعمال الترميم واجهت عددًا من التحديات، أبرزها صعوبة تأمين المواد اللازمة، وارتفاع تكاليف التنفيذ، إلى جانب نقص الورش المتخصصة بالحجر الأسود القديم المستخدم في ترميم القناطر والأسقف الأثرية، فضلًا عن قلة الحرفيين المهرة في أعمال التبليط والترميم التقليدي
ولفت إلى أن المشروع لا يقتصر على إعادة تأهيل الأسواق من الناحية الخدمية والجمالية فحسب، بل يشمل أيضًا حماية وترميم المعالم الأثرية الموجودة داخلها، ومنها الحمام العثماني الصغير في سوق الصاغة، و”عبارة المعصراني” المؤلفة من طابقين، إضافة إلى “عبارة سوق الفضة”، لما تمثله من قيمة تاريخية ومعمارية في المدينة القديمة
وفي سياق متصل، كانت مديرة جمالية المدينة والمشرفة على لجنة تنمية الأسواق الأثرية، إيناس بايقلي، قد أوضحت سابقًا أن أعمال إحياء الأسواق نُفذت عبر مسارين رئيسيين، الأول مدني شمل ترميم الأقواس الحجرية والأسقف، والثاني كهربائي تضمن إنارة الأسواق وممراتها الداخلية
وأضافت أن لجنة جديدة أُنشئت عقب سقوط النظام المخلوع لتنسيق العمل بين التجار ومجلس المدينة، إلى جانب إنشاء غرف حراسة ومفارز حماية وإنارات تزيينية وصندوق مخصص لأعمال الصيانة الدورية
وبحسب الإحصاءات الرسمية، تضم أسواق حمص القديمة نحو 981 محلًا أثريًا و1200 محل غير أثري، وقد عاد إلى العمل منها 475 محلًا أثريًا و1020 محلًا غير أثري، في مؤشر على عودة النشاط التجاري تدريجيًا إلى المدينة القديمة واستعادة جزء من حيويتها الاقتصادية والتراثية
