أسفرت سلسلة حوادث مرورية، وقعت السبت 21 آذار على الأوتستراد الدولي دمشق – حمص، عن وفاة شخصين وإصابة ثمانية آخرين وذلك في محيط منطقة حسياء، نتيجة انزلاق عدد من المركبات بفعل الظروف الجوية السيئة
وشهد المحور الممتد من حسياء مرورًا بالبريج وقارة ودير عطية والنبك والقسطل وصولًا إلى عدرا، هطولات مطرية ممزوجة بالثلوج والبرد، ما أدى إلى تشكّل طبقات زلقة على الطريق، وتسبب بوقوع حوادث متعددة اتسمت بشدتها
وفي ضوء ذلك، أصدرت دائرة الإنذار المبكر والتأهب في وزارة الطوارئ وإدارة الكوارث تنبيهًا عاجلًا دعت فيه السائقين إلى التحلي بأقصى درجات الحيطة أثناء القيادة على هذا الطريق الحيوي
وشددت على ضرورة خفض السرعة، لا سيما عند المنعطفات والمنحدرات والتقاطعات، مع تجنب التجاوز وضرورة الإبقاء على مسافات أمان مناسبة بين المركبات
كما أكدت أهمية تفادي الكبح المفاجئ، والتحقق من الجاهزية الفنية للمركبات، خاصة سلامة نظام المكابح وماسحات الزجاج، إضافة إلى استخدام الإطارات الشتوية المخصصة لمثل هذه الظروف
وحثّت الجهات المختصة المواطنين إلى التواصل مع فرق الطوارئ والدفاع المدني عند الحاجة، مشيرة إلى استمرار جاهزيتها لتقديم خدمات الإسعاف والإنقاذ على امتداد الطريق
