تعرضت خطوط نقل الطاقة الكهربائية عالية الجهد في المنطقة الجنوبية لاعتداء مباشر، استهدف بشكل خاص الخطوط الرابطة بين محطة توليد دير علي ومحطات التحويل في الجنوب، والتي تعد الشريان الرئيسي لتغذية العاصمة دمشق وريفها، إضافة إلى كامل المنطقة الجنوبية
وألحق الاعتداء أضرارًا ملموسة بخط التوسع دير علي و عدة مناطق رئيسية أبرزها مناطق الهيجانة والبيطارية وعدرا والعتيبة، مما أسفر عن تلف في أجزاء من الخطوط وانقطاع التيار الكهربائي في بعض المقاطع، وتأثر بالتالي استقرار الشبكة في المناطق المغذاة من هذا الخط الحيوي
أعلنت وزارة الكهرباء أن فرقها الفنية المتخصصة باشرت فورًا بأعمال تقييم الأضرار تمهيدًا لإطلاق عمليات الإصلاح والصيانة، بهدف إعادة الخطوط إلى الخدمة في أقصر وقت ممكن، وضمان عودة الاستقرار للتغذية الكهربائية في المناطق المتضررة
يُذكر أن الوزارة سبق أن واجهت تحديات مشابهة، حيث نفذت في أواخر شهر تشرين الثاني الماضي حملة إصلاح مكثفة لأعطال في خطوط التوتر العالي (230 كيلو فولت) رغم الظروف الجوية الصعبة المتمثلة في الأمطار الغزيرة وكثافة الضباب، والتي عرقلت الوصول إلى المواقع، وشملت تلك الأعمال إصلاح خطوط بين محطة الزارة ومحطتين في حماه وشمال حمص وقطينة، إضافة إلى معالجة انقطاعات في الفازات وبعض البروتيلات، وعزل نتر حيادي متضرر
