وأضاف الموقع في ندوة الهجرة هذه، تصف باربرا رافبار – وهي باحثة دكتوراه في كلية العلوم الاجتماعية بجامعة تشارلز في براغ – بحثَها للدكتوراه والذي يستكشف كيف تناولت وكالات الأنباء الأوروبية أخبار اللاجئين الأوكرانيين في عام 2022 مقابل اللاجئين السوريين في عام 2015.
وفي الندوة سيتم تناول أزمة اللاجئين من خلال عدسات وسائل الإعلام: تقاطع العرق والجنس وكراهية الأجانب في تغطية أزمة اللاجئين الأوكرانيين والسوريين – تستكشف كيف قدمت وكالات الأنباء الأوروبية تقارير عن اللاجئين الأوكرانيين في عام 2022 مقابل اللاجئين السوريين في عام 2015.
ينتمي هؤلاء الأشخاص إلى خلفيات اجتماعية وثقافية وعرقية وإثنية مختلفة للغاية، لذا يهدف هذا البحث إلى تسليط الضوء على ما إذا كانت تقارير الوكالات تحتوي على تحيز محتمل عند الإبلاغ عن قضايا اللاجئين.
