After the northern Syria has become crowded with displaced and internal refugees against their will from different areas all around Syria, pro regime took this opportunity to gloat from those displaced in the forcing displacement operations claiming that they would be terrified by the citizens of these areas held by opposition factions. That is why social media was taken by storm with unreasonable expectations regarding regime plan in the future after finishing displacing who have remained from the citizens of Alwaer neighborhood and eastern Ghotah, in order to encircle them later and pursuing mass extermination against them where regime would continue to remain in power eventually.
Despite threats by pro Assad regime of a plan they themselves have imagined and believed about besieging those areas waging a psychological war against them to make them lose faith in revolution in order to live social and psychological instability, people who have gone through all kinds of deprivation and pains are no longer concerned about those unreasonable pro regime.
People who live in the liberated northern Syrian, are completely aware that this psychological war is pointless, probably citizens’ heading stability is the best proof for that; life goes on, and their insistence pushes them to look for work opportunities and have investments with simple funds.
For instance, the local council in Maretmisreen in Idlib northern countryside has built a small factory for manufacturing nylon sacks. A worker there declared that the goal of this factory is finding many opportunities for young people to work and earn their living, in addition to have self-sufficiency without the need to import sacks saving money in this way.
Regarding Idlib city, a merchant there said: “since the city is overcrowded in the markets, particularly considering food, I have decided to open a juice smoothie shop, especially summer is coming soon. Actually, some of my friends considered the idea a venture as I may lose my capital. However, I believe life goes on and will not stop at any threats or bombardment”.
Regardless of service projects that can find work opportunities; because of crowding, Syrians have worked on reconstructing destroyed building in the wake of bombardment, and building new houses as city is becoming overcrowded day after day as forcing displacement operations continue. Will opposition areas witness stability or will regime continue to pursue destruction strategy despite issuing de-escalated areas in Astana4.
