“Turkey” is the only destination headed by Syrians in the liberated northern seeking for a safe refuge for themselves and their families protecting them from the evil that face them almost every day after regime has escalated the military campaign in Idlib and Aleppo by shelling their houses with several different weapons including missiles by artillery and warplanes; however there are still several difficulties confronting them in their heading.
Probably the greatest difficulty is represented in entering after the Turkish authorities have closed all the passages on the borders for fearing refugees flowing which force them to enter Turkey by ” smuggling” putting their lives at risk of being shot by jandarma guarding along the borders.
Their suffering will not come to an end by crossing the borders since the journey of searching for a job offering them the ability for staying in addition to earning living starts. Syrians need for residency in Turkey which allows them to get a permit to work for those of skills, diplomas and rich businessmen. Besides they can work only in specific fields such as workshops of sewing and construction and others works that require physical efforts only and do not need acquire the Turkish language.
Ghada from Idlib city revealed her suffering: “I was forced to abandon my city after warplanes had destroyed my house, and after a pain of several attempts to cross the borders to Turkey that lasted for ten days. My brother received my family and me in his house in Qonya province till we find a job and hire a place to stay in”.
“Before arriving I was optimistic about finding a school for Syrians in order to work in cause I have a diploma, but I was shocked with the spread of fake diplomas phenomenon where the number of fake diplomas are a lot more than the original ones particularly speaking Arabic and Religion. It has been two months since arriving and till the moment my husband and I have not found a job”,Ghada added.
Maybe what have happened recently in Turkey, the sequent explosions and the missiles launched from the Syrian side, has urged the Turkish government to take strict security procedures to guard the borders not allowing any one to enter in illegitimate way. In addition the Turkish forces are participating with the Free Army in the battle “Daraa-alforat” which aims to push away ISIL and Syria Democratic Forces from the districts and cities by borders including Jarablos in an attempt to keep the safety and guarantee Kurds will not come close from the borders.
At The time Turkey is being busy in its war against ISIL in Syria, Syrians are living in fear of the coming inside its provinces specially after the coup against the Turkish government, and the consequent victories in areas by the borders where Syrians face difficulty in finding jobs after closing most the humanitarian and rights organizations fearing expected explosion or an attack which may claim the stuff’s souls.
Here the Syrians living in Turkey remain perplexed wondering will Turkey be honest in finding safe districts along its borders with Syria and bring back refugees to their homeland or will another war is coming foretelling a new miseries with only victim as usual; the Syrian citizen whether in Turkey or in liberated areas??
