Please do not follow their lies and their TV channels… our hope is our army”
With these phrases and sentences, regime media reporter in Aleppo “Shady Hilweh” comforted pro regime and supporters that all the engagements points in Aleppo were still held by the Syrian army after rebels had announced the third phase of estopping the siege on Aleppo city; to break the circle forced on the city by regime forces for more than twenty days.
Media plays a major and key role in reporting the events and incidents in addition to covering the battles in the fronts that witness clashes in order to know the last developments. For media to be trust worthy it has to be honest, transparent and authenticating the real events. Who is following Aleppo developments finds rebellion factions are clearly advancing in the city and its countryside over regime forces and pro militias in the following locations: Ahoweaz town and its hill; Ohode, Moaata and Almahaba hills; Almoshrefa, Alhekmah school; 1070 block; Rockets battalion and other locations on Alramoseh road.
However, regime media refuse stubbornly to admit and accept defeat regime had in Aleppo working on proving the opposite despite documents and proofs broadcasted immediately after liberating any new point by rebels. This media promises pro-regime of soon triumph to drive away terrorism attempting to take away their homeland according to bits claims forgetting all the massacres committed by regime forces daily in opposition held areas being backed by Russia and foreign and Shiite militias who are fighting next to its forces after losing a lot of his army lately, in addition to the fact that regime is practicing starvation and siege policy to press on that territories for regaining control over them forcing the citizens to yield to regime.
Regime media lost its credibility and legitimacy even to its supporters since the outbreak of crisis in Syria where its policy becomes clear and exposed for counting in the first place on disdaining the Syrians’ minds fabricating facts in the way they serve regime goals. Probably what happened in Idlib city last year is the best example; where regime media continued till te last moment lying and fabricating that the city is under Assad’s army but in reality they could not stand strong more than two days for officers and big commanders had left Idlib city leaving behind Shabeha ( pro regime militias) and their withdrldiers justifying their withdrawing under the pretext of being concerned with citizens safety to shell the city hours later contradicting what they had said.
Battles are still taking place and clashes are fierce in Aleppo fronts; many political analysts consider changing the incidents and the map of controlling forces in the city will change everything specially after rebellion factions coming close to break the siege on the eastern neighborhoods and encircling regime forces by Alramoseh road, will regime media pretexts be ready to justify their position or will they remain silent
