“Don’t suppress your pain children … It can explode at any moment, play and enjoy your time.. on you we count “, these are the words uttered by fifteen-year-old young man from Idleb countryside once hearing kids’ noise playing around which drive him to look at them from his broken window.
Amer said: ”TV is the most affecting factor on children where the hours set for broadcasting their programs were precious , so that they spent hours watching without getting bored without any intention to respond to any means of destruction; however tis has changed with electricity continual cuts due to war by regime”
Abo Hamza reveals his suffering with his one-eyed son which he lost because of a mortar missile shrapnel at the time the army barriers were inside the city. My kid true misery was witnessing with his one eye how his mom was cut in half due to shrapnel of a missile it is said that it was carried out by Russian warplanes ; the thing that caused him terror and sorrow. Once I watched him playing with his friends who laughed at him for not seeing the cubes on his left.”
The kid Hamza said : ” I used to get disturbed being called repeatedly by my mother to stop playing computer games that keep me in my room for hours .. I wish she came back to call me again.. I m not lost like those in kids programs where in the last episode the boy goes back home to his mother to get happy ever after.. my mother is dead now for real and she is not coming back .”
Yosef reveals ,aged ten years that: ” when the building behind their houses became deserted lack the human touch in , my friends and I turn it to a play yard enjoying our games particularly ”hide and sake” , besides raising kittens which make us laugh with their spontaneous movements. This is the case with boys; while girls use it to play with their dolls and ” neighbors houses” in which they , despite being too young , talk about her suffering and pains revealing sorrow inside her heart”.
Sara said : “whenever I got bored I am accustomed to sit with the girls of the neighbor at the building iterance to play with our dolls taking into consideration not to step any further fearing shelling or raids. Sometimes we play ‘jump the rope’ or even draw boxes with chalk on the floor to jump on one leg”.
Classical and traditional games give children a new opportunity to get their lives back that hey lost in war since they encourage children to play and enjoy the time besides help them to get rid of the desire to keep oneself away from others ; recently psychological and social disorders spread among children due to war carried out by regime and its results such as fear of bombardment and bedwetting are kids and like to play .
They are active and energetic no matter how hard is the rain.. no matter how great are pain and sorrow … future on them counts.
