Goats Replaced with Wall Watch .. Syrian Pound Depreciation Affects Regime Presents

Activists on social media posted photos of some regime officers giving families of regime killed soldiers a wall watch; while last year they were given “goat” besides some clothes for their children.However, this year presents are of low cost due to Syrian pound depreciation to the U.S dollar where one dollar reached 650 SP in the last few days.
Photos were mocked by Syrians, at the time the journalist Wesam Alteer ascribed the reason of low value of Syria’s pound and regime weakness to Adeeb Mayala, Syria Central Bank governor; he wrote on “Damascus Now” site blaming him: ” Damascus bank governor becomes encumbrance and a burden on The Syrian economy , besides Mayala interferences are funny to black market traders”.
Undervaluing the excuses he presents to regime reasons such ” the low value of the Syrian pound due to gunmen movements on borders” , while in another occasions to fuel traders . Day after day Mayala keeps ignoring the reality leaving behind economical crisis without even attempting to find solutions for ; he is not trust worthy according to many specialists.”
“It is enoungh to remember the sacrifices of the heroes.. It is not important what the gift or its value” , Basel Alholo posted in an attempt to improve and defend what regime had offered soldiers’ families. Majed Khayat cynically commented : ” so that they damned the time at which they had decided to sent their sons to the Service.. consider how wisdom they are , even damnation is taken into consideration.. I believe later they will give them pens and notbooks in order to damn this issue”.
Many ascribed the low value of government gifts for the hard economical crisis it is going through. “Faysal” considered the offered watch a sign of a close breakdown of regime: ” It is realy strange .. you must know that politics and economy are two faces of one coin where government breakdown leads to economy collapse … I swear even Superman can never be able to raise regaining the Syrian pound value unless it the country is stable again .. which means that it is only few month till witnessing this broken down government fall down economically besides military”.
Eventually، question remains: for how long regime will continue to underestimate and devaluing his killed soldiers? and for how long the Syrian people will stand strong in the face of the Syrian pound low value to U.S dollar and its effects , where this arogant regime himself had replaced the goat with a wall watch.
