Citizens of Sheikh-maksood the neighborhood of Kurdish majority demanded the UN and Human Rights Watch to commit to their duties related to what the neighborhood suffers from the suffocating siege. They also called for entering urgent foodstuff, medical humanitarian aids where 50 thousand people are besieged inside the neighborhood.
“Ahmad”, one of the neighborhood citizens, said: “We appeal to the humanitarian organizations to offer aids cause we are suffering from insects spread and lack of foodstuff”.
The response was entering UN aids, where ‘Imad Dawood’ the council head said: ” the convoy of the United Nations entered sheikh-maksood protected by YPG who control the neighborhood and supervised by UN office in addition to the neighborhood council”.
The convoy was of 13 trucks loaded with foodstuff and stationaries which will be distributed on all the families under Relief Committee. The head council has confirmed that after few days another convoy of 23 trucks will enter.
The question emerges here what are the aids that enteredl Ghotah?!
The UN has entered by the Syrian Red Crescent a convoy of medical and health aids to eastern Ghotah. It launched from Damascus the capital where the relief offices and the citizens of the district were angry due to the lack of aids which are supposed to be enough for thousands besieged in Damascus Ghotah.
The reporter of (Kolona Shoraka’) in the district said: ” Most trucks which are 40 trucks were almost empty indicating that half of the trucks were enough to enter this amount of aids”.
For sure relief offices in Ghotah accused UN of complicity with Bashar Assad regime in forcing the siege on the district and that entering the convoy was only for media purposes.
It is not the first time, what happened in Daraya was similar. Regime as usual exercises the policy of hunger, deprivation and cowardice , seeking that method of “food in exchange with loyalty”.
“Hani”, from besieged eastern Ghotah and aged 32 years, said: “Bashar Assad injustice is not enough .. but also others join him.. it is an injustice against the young before the old; it dying out of hunger..methods of suffering are varied to die by who has no mercy.. Allah may help us inspiring us patience followed by soon relief”.
