An opposition military source in the operations room of Fatth Aleppo negated on Saturday targeting any regime-controlled neighborhoods in Aleppo.
This comes after SANA claimed that opposition fighters were the responsible for the rockets which hit regime-controlled neighborhoods. The agency added that rockets hit the neighborhoods of al-Furqan, Students Dorms and al-Feidh, resulting in the death of 30 civilians and the injury of 144 others.
Meanwhile, activists reported the death of 18 civilians, including women and children, and the injury of many others after a number of Russian-made rockets hit the regime-controlled neighborhoods of al-Furqan, Meridien, Students Dorms, National Stadium, Bestan al-Zahra, and al-Feidh.
Pro-regime pages on social media published photos of the unexploded rocket which hit al-Furqan neighborhood. The rocket is of type 9M27K, which opposition fighters do not have.
Activists say that regime intelligence branches fire rockets on pro-regime neighborhoods to add fuel to flames, and incite hatred between pro- and anti- regime civilians.
It is worth mentioning that Assad terrorists used the same rocket type, i.e. 9M27K, in bombarding Aleppo southern countryside on May 6th, 2016.
