“Documentation Office” in Syrian Press Center has managed by the end of last February to document 956 martyrs authenticated with names; where they are classified into 728 civilians who most of them passed away in the massacres committed by regime forces and its ally the Russian air force, and 228 fighters who most of them passed away in battles with regime forces and pro regime militias.
*- The martyrs “civilians” numbering 728 martyrs who are authenticated with names, are classified into the following order:
-165 children
– 102 women
– 4 pressmen
– 4 medics
– 3 civil defense member
– 450 ordinary civilians
*- The martyrs “civilians” numbering 728 martyrs are distributed in the following order according to the perpetrator:
– 278 martyrs by regime forces
– 89 martyrs by the Russian air force
– 87 martyrs by the Turkish forces
– 54 martyrs by the national coalition fighting jets
– 163 martyrs by ISIS
– 18 martyrs out of torture in regime prisons
– 13 martyrs by opposition factions
– 10 martyrs due to shortage of food and medicine
– 7 martyrs in the wake of blasts
– 5 martyrs shot dead by unknowns
– 4 martyrs shot dead by the borders guard Gendarmes
*- Regarding fighters, they reached 228 persons authenticate with names where they are distributed in the following order:
– 123 of them passed away in battles with regime forces
– 35 of them passed away in battles with ISIS
– 12 of them passed away in blasts
– 2 of them passed away while breaking down blasts
– 50 of them passed away in clashes among factions, and executions by Jond Alaqsa
– 6 of them were assassinated by unknowns

– 148 martyrs in Dara’a
– 136 martyrs in Idlib
– 104 martyrs in Damascus countryside
– 78 martyrs in Homs
– 61 martyrs in Hama
– 57 martyrs in Deir Azzor
– 31 martyrs in Raqqa
– 14 martyrs in Damascus
– 6 martyrs in Lattakia
– 5 martyrs in Hassaka
