Documentation Office in Syrian Press Center has authenticated 9 martyrs of civil defense and medical staff with their names in last January in the areas that are held by opposition factions, where most of them were killed by regime forces and pro militias.
*- The martyrs of civil defense and medical staff, are distributed in the following order:
– 4 martyrs of civil defense
– 5 martyrs of medical staff
*- The martyrs in accordance to the perpetrators, are distributed in the following order:
– 8 martyrs by regime forces
– 1 martyr by Russian air force
*- The martyrs in accordance to provinces, are distributed in the following order:
– 4 martyrs in the province of Damascus Countryside
– 1 martyr in the province of Dara’a countryside
– 2 martyrs in the province of Homs
– 2 martyrs in the province of Hama
With this, regime forces and its Russian ally have violated the international humanitarian law, particularly the article number / 3 /that is common in the accords of Geneva and the international humanitarian law, through committing crimes which can tantamount to war crimes against humanity by targeting the medical staff and facilities as well as the rescue groups of civil defense.
