5413 Martyrs In First Half Of 2017 In Syria

Documentation Office in Syrian Press Center (SPC), has documented in the first half of 2017, 5413 martyrs authenticated  with names in all the Syrian provinces, where Idlib, Aleppo, Raqqa, Deir Azzor, Damascus rural and Dara’ provinces have had the highest death toll, in the wake of bombardment by regime forces, the Russian ally and the supporting militias, in addition to international coalition warplanes and ISIS regarding the provinces of Raqqa, Deir Azzor and Aleppo eastern countryside.
*- The martyrs are classified into the following:
– 943 children including 3 fetuses.
– 600 women.
– 32 medics.
– 28 members of civil defense.
– 25 media activists.
– 3810 persons including ordinary civilians in aerial and artillery bombardment , and fighters in battles to fight off regime forces’ attempt to advance.
*- The martyrs according to provinces:
– 913 martyrs in Aleppo province.
– 850 martyrs in Raqqa province.
– 789 martyrs in Damascus countryside province.
– 721 martyrs in Idlib province.
– 704 martyrs in Dara’ province.
– 687 martyrs in Deir Azzor province.
– 314 martyrs in Hama province.
– 338 martyrs in Homs province.
– 45 martyrs in Damascus province.
– 34 martyrs in Hasaka province.
– 11 martyrs in Lattakia province.
– 7 martyrs in Qunaitra province.
*- Besides, Documentation Office has managed to authenticate killings against civilians and fighters by the main operative sides participating in military operations in Syria:
1- Regime forces and its backing militias killed 2089 persons including civilians in air strikes, artillery shelling and another killing operations; and fighters while attempting to stop regime forces from advancing to opposition areas.
2- The Russian air force claimed the souls of 661 persons most of them civilians through carrying out intense raids.
3- International coalition which is launching a campaign against ISIS, murdered 994 persons all of them civilians, where its warplanes are waging intense raids particularly on the  provinces of Raqqa and Deir Azzor, and the eastern rural of Aleppo.
4- ISIS killed 679 persons all of them civilians through landmines, artillery shelling and another killing operations.
_ While 80 persons were documented dead out of torture in regime prisons.
_ 25 persons passed away due to shortage of food and medicine in the areas besieged by regime forces.
_ 25 persons were documented to be killed by the Turkish borders guards “Gendarmes” while trying to cross the borders heading Turkey, because of the dire circumstances in most the Syrian provinces.
*- It is worthy to mention that  the martyrs in last June reached 874 persons authenticated with names including 169 children and 85 women, according to a statistic by Documentation Office  in Syrian Press Center.
