تعرضت محطة تحويل الكهرباء الرئيسية في منطقة باب شرقي بمدينة دمشق لعطل فني طارئ، مما تسبب في خروج جزء من قدرتها التشغيلية عن الخدمة بشكل مؤقت
وأدى هذا العطل إلى انقطاع التغذية الكهربائية عن عدة أحياء وضواحٍ في العاصمة دمشق وريفها، شملت أجزاء من مناطق المليحة، الكباس، كشكول، اليونسية، القريات، النهضة، مخيم جرمانا، وكرم الصمادي في مدينة جرمانا
وبدوره، أعلنت الشركة العامة لكهرباء ريف دمشق، عبر منصتها الرسمية، أن فرق الصيانة والورش الفنية قد باشرت العمل فورًا لإصلاح العطل، وأكدت الشركة أن أعمال الإصلاح جارية على قدم وساق، وسيتم إعادة التيار الكهربائي تدريجيًا إلى المناطق المتأثرة بأسرع وقت ممكن، مع الاستمرار في المتابعة الفنية حتى استكمال الأعمال بالكامل واستعادة الاستقرار التام للشبكة
يذكر أن الشبكة الكهربائية في المنطقة تشهد أحيانًا أعطالًا طارئة، نتيجة للضغوط التشغيلية الكبيرة وتقادم بعض مكونات الشبكة، حيث تعمل الشركة بشكل دائم على معالجة هذه الحالات فورًا لتقليل فترات الانقطاع وضمان استمرارية تقديم الخدمة للمواطنين
