أعلنت وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين إعادة تفعيل عضوية هيئة المواصفات والمقاييس العربية السورية (SASMO) في منظمة المقاييس والمواصفات للدول الإسلامية (SMIIC) التابعة لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي، وذلك بعد توقف دام أكثر من اثني عشر عامًا
وقالت الوزارة في بيان نشرته عبر منصاتها الرسمية يوم الجمعة 14 تشرين الثاني، إن استعادة العضوية تمثل خطوة تعكس التزام سوريا بمنظومة الجودة والمواصفات الدولية، وتندرج ضمن جهودها لتطوير هياكلها المؤسسية وفق أرقى المعايير العالمية
وأشارت الوزارة إلى أن هذا التطور يدعم مسار التنمية المستدامة، ويُسهم في تحسين جودة الحياة، ويرفع مستوى تنافسية الاقتصاد الوطني
من جهته، أعلن المدير العام لـSASMO ياسر عليوي أمس الخميس، انضمام سوريا رسميًا إلى منظمة SMIIC، مؤكدًا أن هذه الخطوة تُعد تحولًا استراتيجيًا يعزز موقع البلاد داخل منظومة الجودة والمواصفات على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي، وفق ما نقلته وزارة الاقتصاد والصناعة
وأوضح عليوي أن استعادة العضوية تشكل اعترافاً بدور هيئة المواصفات السورية في تطوير البنية التحتية للجودة ودعم الاقتصاد، لافتًا إلى أن الانضمام يفتح مجالات واسعة للتعاون الفني وتبادل الخبرات مع هيئات التقييس في الدول الإسلامية
كما من شأن هذه الخطوة بحسب عليوي، أن تسهم في توحيد المواصفات القياسية، بما يدعم حركة التجارة بين الدول الأعضاء، ويرفع تنافسية المنتجات السورية في الأسواق الإسلامية، إضافة إلى تعزيز كفاءة منظومة الجودة المحلية عبر المشاركة في اللجان الفنية واعتماد أفضل الممارسات الدولية
وختم بالتأكيد على أن سوريا تعود اليوم إلى خارطة العمل التقييسي الدولي، مجددة التزامها بتطبيق أحدث المعايير والمواصفات بما يخدم أهداف التنمية المستدامة ويُسهم في تطوير مستوى المعيشة داخل البلاد
