تواصل جامعة دمشق تعزيز حضورها الأكاديمي والبحثي على الساحة الدولية، بعد إدراجها للعام الثاني على التوالي في التصنيف العالمي البريطاني “التايمز” للتعليم العالي والبحث العلمي لعام 2026، لتكون الجامعة السورية الوحيدة ضمن قائمة أفضل 2191 جامعة من 115 دولة حول العالم، محققة تفوقًا ملحوظًا في مجال جودة الأبحاث العلمية
أوضح مدير مكتب التصنيف في جامعة دمشق، الدكتور مروان الراعي، أن الجامعة حافظت على مرتبتها العالمية (+1501) في النسخة الصادرة بتاريخ 9 تشرين الأول 2025، مشيرًا إلى أن هذا الإنجاز يضعها ضمن أفضل 7% من الجامعات والمراكز البحثية على مستوى العالم، ما يعكس التطور المستمر في أدائها البحثي والأكاديمي
وبيّن الراعي أن تصنيف “التايمز” يعد من أكثر التصنيفات العالمية دقةً وموثوقية، حيث يعتمد على مؤشرات متعددة تشمل جودة البحث العلمي وحجمه وتأثيره، ونسبة الأساتذة الباحثين، ومستوى التعاون الدولي، والابتكار، إلى جانب نتائج الاستبيانات الموجهة إلى الأكاديميين والباحثين في مختلف دول العالم، والتي تمنح رؤية شاملة لمكانة الجامعة في الوسط العلمي الدولي
وأشار الراعي إلى أن المعايير المعتمدة في التصنيف تُعد أدوات علمية دقيقة لتقييم الأداء الأكاديمي والبحثي، وتوفر مؤشرات حقيقية حول تطور الجامعات وقدرتها على المنافسة عالميًا، ما ينعكس إيجابًا على سمعتها الدولية ويُسهم في استقطاب الكفاءات من طلاب وباحثين من مختلف الدول
أظهرت نتائج التصنيف أن جامعة دمشق حازت على تقييم مرتفع من قبل المجتمع الأكاديمي الدولي، ما يعكس الاحترام الكبير لمكانتها العلمية، في حين كانت آراء طلابها وأساتذتها أقل إيجابية، الأمر الذي يشير إلى ضرورة الاستمرار في تحسين بيئة التعليم والخدمات الجامعية، وهو ما تعمل عليه إدارة الجامعة ضمن خططها التطويرية
وشدّد الراعي على أن استمرار وجود جامعة دمشق في تصنيف “التايمز” للسنة الثانية يؤكد مكانتها المتقدمة كجامعة بحثية رائدة في المنطقة، ويعكس جهودها في دعم جودة التعليم والبحث العلمي والابتكار، كما يُعد وجودها في هذا التصنيف العالمي معيارًا أساسيًا في اعتمادها الأكاديمي لدى العديد من وزارات التعليم العالي العربية والأجنبية، نظرًا لأهمية هذا التصنيف الذي يُعتبر الأبرز في العالم في مجالي التعليم والبحث العلمي
يُذكر أن جامعة دمشق كانت قد دخلت تصنيف “التايمز” للمرة الأولى في تشرين الأول 2024، كأول جامعة سورية تحقق هذا الإنجاز، لتواصل اليوم ترسيخ حضورها في المحافل الأكاديمية الدولية ضمن مسيرة مستمرة من الريادة والتطور
