كشفت الهيئة المركزية للرقابة والتفتيش في سوريا، عن وجود اختلاسات مالية كبيرة خلال جولة رقابية مفاجئة أجرتها على أحد فروع المؤسسة العامة للطباعة
وأوضحت الهيئة في بيان لها أن قيمة الاختلاسات التي تم رصدها بلغت نحو مليار وسبعين مليونًا وأربعمئة وستين ألفًا وستمئة ليرة سورية، مشيرةً إلى أن الخلل المالي ناتج عن نقص في المبالغ التي كان يفترض تحصيلها، إضافة إلى وجود فروقات واضحة بين السجلات المحاسبية والقيمة الفعلية لمحتويات مستودعات الفرع
وبيّنت أن المسؤولية عن هذه المخالفات تقع على عدد من أمناء المستودعات، نتيجة الإهمال أو التقصير في أداء المهام الموكلة إليهم
ولم تقتصر نتائج الجولة على الجانب المالي، إذ أسفرت أيضًا عن كشف مخالفات إدارية متعددة، تمثلت بعدم التقيد بالأنظمة والقوانين الناظمة لتدوين السجلات الإدارية ومخرجاتها، فضلًا عن تسجيل حالات غياب غير مبررة لعدد من العاملين في المؤسسة
وعلى ضوء ما تم التوصل إليه، أكدت الهيئة أنها باشرت باتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بشكل فوري، بهدف حماية المال العام واسترداده، وشملت هذه الإجراءات فرض حجز احتياطي على الأموال المنقولة وغير المنقولة للأشخاص المتورطين في الاختلاس، إلى جانب منعهم من مغادرة البلاد إلى حين استكمال التحقيقات
