استقبل وزير الصحة الدكتور مصعب العلي وفدًا من المنظمة الدولية للهجرة برئاسة المدير العام لإقليم الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في المنظمة عثمان بلبيسي، حيث جرى بحث سبل التعاون المشترك لتهيئة الظروف الملائمة لعودة الكفاءات الصحية السورية إلى الوطن وتطوير الخدمات الطبية المقدمة في المناطق الحدودية
وخلال الاجتماع الذي عُقد في مقر الوزارة، ناقش الجانبان مجموعة من المقترحات الرامية إلى تشجيع الأطباء والاختصاصيين السوريين المقيمين في الخارج على العودة، من خلال توفير فرص عمل مناسبة وحوافز مادية ومعنوية، مع الاستفادة من التجارب التي طبقتها دول أخرى في هذا المجال، كما تم التطرق إلى إمكانية إنشاء مراكز صحية جديدة في النقاط الحدودية وتجهيزها بالمستلزمات الضرورية، إلى جانب تدريب الكوادر الطبية والتمريضية، بما يعزز من قدرة هذه المرافق على الاستجابة للاحتياجات المتزايدة للسكان في تلك المناطق
وأكد الوزير العلي خلال الاجتماع ترحيب وزارة الصحة بالتعاون الوثيق مع المنظمة الدولية للهجرة في كل ما من شأنه دعم عودة الكفاءات السورية، مشددًا على استعداد الوزارة لتأمين متطلبات تجهيز المراكز الصحية الحدودية وتطوير خدماتها بشكل يتناسب مع المعايير الحديثة والاستفادة من التجارب السابقة للدول التي نجحت في إعادة كفاءاتها الوطنية
من جهته أوضح بلبيسي أن عودة الكفاءات السورية تمثل أحد أبرز أولويات المنظمة في المرحلة الراهنة، لافتًا إلى أن المنظمة بدأت بالفعل بإعداد دراسة شاملة لرصد الخبرات الطبية والصحية للسوريين المقيمين في الخارج، ومعرفة تطلعاتهم المستقبلية، وذلك تمهيدًا لوضع برامج عملية تتيح الاستفادة القصوى من هذه الطاقات في دعم عملية إعادة البناء وتعزيز قدرات القطاع الصحي السوري
وأشار بلبيسي إلى أهمية التنسيق المباشر مع وزارة الصحة السورية في هذا الملف، سواء على صعيد تجهيز المراكز الصحية الحدودية أو تدريب الكوادر العاملة فيها، مؤكدًا أن المنظمة ستواصل دعمها لجهود الحكومة السورية في تحسين البنية التحتية الصحية وتوسيع نطاق الخدمات المقدمة
يذكر أن المنظمة الدولية للهجرة، التي تأسست عام 1951، تُعد أكبر منظمة حكومية دولية متخصصة في قضايا الهجرة، وتعمل بالشراكة مع الحكومات والمنظمات الدولية غير الحكومية على ضمان أن تكون الهجرة إنسانية ومنظمة وتحقق الفائدة للجميع وتتواجد المنظمة حاليًا في أكثر من مئة دولة ولها حضور في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا منذ أوائل ثمانينيات القرن الماضي
