وفي بيان رسمي دعا الاتحاد السلطات السورية إلى إعادة هيكلة أجهزة الأمن الوطنية بما يتوافق مع المعايير الدولية ، مؤكدًا أن هذه الخطوة ضرورية لتحقيق العدالة وتعزيز الاستقرار في البلاد كما شدد على أهمية تفعيل الآليات الدولية ذات الصلة لضمان المساءلة وعدم الإفلات من العقاب في الجرائم الجسيمة التي تمس القانون الدولي الإنساني وحقوق الإنسان
وجدد الاتحاد دعوته إلى جميع الأطراف بضرورة الالتزام الكامل بوقف إطلاق النار، وحماية المدنيين والبنية التحتية المدنية، بما يشمل المواقع الدينية، دون تمييز على أساس عرقي أو ديني كما حذّر من أي تحريض أو خطابات ذات طابع طائفي قد تسهم في تأجيج التوترات ، مشددًا على ضرورة اتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة لمنع ذلك
وأكد الاتحاد استمراره في دعم شركائه الإنسانيين على الأرض لتقديم المساعدات الحيوية في ظل حالة الطوارئ القائمة ، مطالبًا السلطات الانتقالية بضمان وصول آمن وفوري ودون عوائق للخدمات الأساسية كالرعاية الصحية والمياه والغذاء ، إضافة إلى حماية العاملين في المجال الإنساني
وفي سياق متصل شدد الاتحاد الأوروبي على ضرورة احترام جميع الجهات الخارجية لوحدة سوريا وسيادتها واستقلالها وسلامة أراضيها ، مدينًا أي وجود عسكري أجنبي غير مشروع وأي تدخلات خارجية تسعى لزعزعة الاستقرار أو تقويض عملية الانتقال السلمي ، بما في ذلك من خلال نشر المعلومات المضللة
