ذكرت المنظمة السورية للطوارئ (SETF) أمس الثلاثاء 16 تموز (يوليو) 2024 فخرها بتحقيق انتصار هام في مسيرة العدالة، حيث ألقي القبض على الضابط الأمني الكبير في نظام الأسد، سمير عثمان الشيخ محافظ دير الزور السابق.
وذكرت المنظمة أنها قامت SETF بإبلاغ الحكومة الأمريكية بوجود الشيخ مطلع عام 2022 وتعاونت منذ ذلك الحين مع الجهات الأمنية والوكالات الأمريكية المعنية، مما أدى إلى القبض التاريخي على هذا المسؤول الرفيع في نظام الأسد في لوس أنجلوس، كاليفورنيا، وهو متهم بعدة تهم ويخضع للتحقيق بتهم جرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية ارتكبها في سوريا، وسيضمن ذلك مثول الشيخ أمام العدالة قريبًا لمواجهة التهم الجسيمة المنسوبة إليه في سوريا.
وأوضحت المنظمة في بيانها : تميزت فترة حكمه في دير الزور بالقمع الوحشي. بعد توليه المنصب مباشرة، أمر الشيخ بقمع عنيف للتظاهرات السلمية، ودعا الجيش النظامي لمحاصرة وقصف دير الزور. شهدت فترة توليه السلطة عنفًا واسع النطاق، حيث قُتل واعتُقل وعُذب مئات الآلاف. وكان مسؤولاً عن عدة مجازر بما في ذلك مجزرة الجورة والقصور التي راح ضحيتها أكثر من 450 مدنيًا. إضافة لمجازر أخرى كمجزرة القبور، والنفوس، والقورية وغيرها.
صرح معاذ مصطفى، المدير التنفيذي لـ SETF: “نحن فخورون ليس فقط بأننا وجدنا هذا المجرم الكبير، بل أيضًا بأننا عملنا بلا كلل مع الحكومة الأمريكية لضمان القبض عليه ومحاكمته وفقًا لأقصى حد يسمح به القانون”.
دخل الشيخ الولايات المتحدة مع عائلته، طالبًا حياة جديدة بعد ارتكابه العديد من الفظائع ضد الشعب السوري. صرح السفير الأمريكي السابق للعدالة الجنائية العالمية وعضو مجلس إدارة SETF، السفير ستيفن ج. راب: “هذه هي القضية الأولى في الولايات المتحدة ضد من يُزعم أنه جلاد للحكومة السورية. ومع العديد من القضايا في أوروبا، تظهر أنه لن يكون هناك إفلات من العقاب لجرائم نظام الأسد ضد شعبه”.
وفيما يخص محافظة دير الزور بعد مسرحية الانتخابات البرلمانية لنظام أسد ذكرت مصادر محلية سورية اليوم الأربعاء 17 تموز (يوليو) أن شيخ قبيلة البوسرايا في دير الزور “مهنا الفياض”اقتحم مع عدد من أبناء قبيلته مبنى محافظة دير الزور، احتجاجًا على النتائج الأولية لانتخابات مجلس الشعب في مناطق سيطرة النظام السوري.
وقالت المصادر إن الشيخ مهنا الفياض اقتحم مكتب محافظ دير الزور “معتز قطان” ، وضربه وبصق عليه، وذلك رفضًا لنتائج الانتخابات الأولية التي لم يظهر فيها فوز الشيخ الفياض وأنه تأجل إعلان النتائج الرسمية لانتخابات مجلس الشعب في دير الزور بعد إهانة المحافظ، وفي الغالب سيتم إعلان الشيخ الفياض من ضمن الناجحين في انتخابات مجلس الشعب التابع لنظام الأسد، للحفاظ على ولائه لنظام الأسد وتجنبًا لأية توترات في المحافظة بحسب المصادر.
