حضر أمين السر العام للاتحاد الصحفيين التابع للنظام يونس خلف ندوةً حول حرية الصحافة في دمشق، بالتزامن مع استمرار اعتقال ناشطين انتقدوا الفساد بين مسؤولي حكومة النظام.
ونشر يونس خلف اليوم على صفحته الشخصية على الفيس بوك أنّه زار المركز الثقافي العربي في الميدان بدمشق اليوم برفقة عدد من زملائه لحضور الندوة.
وأضاف خلف بأنّ الندوة تناولت تحديات حرية الصحافة في ظل الحروب والأزمات، في حين يستمر النظام السوري باعتقال العديد من الصحفيين وتغييب بعضهم قسريا دون معرفة مصيرهم منذ بادية الثورة السورية.
فيما تداولت صفحات محلية خبر إطلاق قوات النظام سراح الناشط عمر عبدالله المعروف بـ”عمر ديرماما”، مساء الأربعاء بعد توقيفه منذ نهاية نيسان الفائت.
كما تحفظ النظام على أسباب التوقيف إلا أنّ ناشطين أوضحوا بأنها جاءت بعد شكوى مسؤول على خلفية منشورات كتبها عبد الله على صفحته عن توزيع المواد الإغاثية للمتضررين من الزلزال، في حين يستمر النظام باعتقال الناشط رامي فيتالي لأسباب ماتزال مجهولة.
وأكدت الشبكة في تقرير موسع لها العام الفائت بأنَّ سوريا من أسوأ دول العالم في حرية الصحافة والرأي والتعبير، مشيرةً إلى أنها في حقبة حكم حافظ الأسد وابنه بشار الأسد لم تشهد يوماً حرية في العمل الصحفي والإعلامي، وذلك منذ استيلاء حزب البعث على السلطة في آذار عام 1963، والذي حظر جميع الصحف المستقلة، وأبقى فقط على الصحف الناطقة باسمه.
ووفقاً للتقرير، فإن النظام السوري قتل 552 صحفياً وإعلامياً بينهم 5 أطفال، وسيدة واحدة، و5 صحفيين أجانب، و47 بسبب التعذيب داخل مراكز الاحتجاز. بالإضافة إلى 24 قتيلاً على يد القوات الروسية، وهذا يعني أنَّ النظام السوري وحليفه الروسي مسؤولان عن قرابة 82 في المئة من حصيلة الضحايا من الصحفيين والعاملين في مجال الإعلام، كما يتحمل النظام السوري مسؤولية ما تقارب نسبته 91 في المئة من حصيلة الضحايا بسبب التعذيب داخل مراكز الاحتجاز الرسمية وغير الرسمية التابعة له.
