أعلنت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عن دعم لوجستي لإسرائيل من خلال نشر طائرات بدون طيران فوق قطاع غزة للبحث عن الرهائن لدى حماس.
وقال الجنرال بات رايدر، المتحدث باسم البنتاغون: “دعماً لجهود إطلاق سراح الرهائن، تقوم الولايات المتحدة بتحليق طائرات بدون طيار غير مسلحة فوق غزة، وتقدم المشورة والمساعدة لشريكنا الإسرائيلي”.
ووفقا لصحيفة نيويورك تايمز ، فهذه هي طائرات MQ-9 Reaper التي تستخدمها قوات العمليات الخاصة الأمريكية. وتم رصدهم لأول مرة على موقع Flightradar24 يوم السبت. “بدأت هذه الرحلات الجوية بدون طيار بعد هجوم 7 أكتوبر الذي شنته حماس على إسرائيل “، يوضح البنتاغون. ووفقا للسلطات الإسرائيلية، لا يزال هناك ما لا يقل عن 240 رهينة، من الإسرائيليين ومزدوجي الجنسية والأجانب، في أيدي حماس.
وحذر متحدث باسم مجلس الأمن القومي بالبيت الأبيض يوم الجمعة، ردا على خطاب الزعيم: “لا ينبغي لحزب الله ولا أي جهة أخرى، سواء كانت دولة أو غير دولة، أن تسعى للاستفادة من الصراع بين إسرائيل وحماس”. المنظمة التابعة لإيران بقيادة حسن نصر الله.
وأضاف: «لن ندخل في حرب كلامية. وأضاف المتحدث أن الولايات المتحدة لا تسعى إلى تصعيد أو توسيع الصراع الذي أطلقته حماس ضد إسرائيل . قد تصبح هذه حرباً أكثر دموية من حرب عام 2006 بين إسرائيل ولبنان. ولا تريد الولايات المتحدة أن يمتد الصراع إلى لبنان. إن الدمار الذي سيلحق بلبنان وشعبه لا يمكن تصوره، ويمكن تجنبه .
