ذكرت صحيفة ” العربي الجديد” أمس السبت 14 أيلول (سبتمبر) أن المحكمة في لاهاي أعلنت يوم الجمعة أن دولة تشيلي قدمت رسميًا طلبًا إلى محكمة العدل الدولية للمشاركة في الإجراءات القانونية الجارية في جنوب أفريقيا ضد إسرائيل.
في كانون الأول (ديسمبر) من العام الماضي، رفعت جنوب أفريقيا قضية ضد إسرائيل، قائلة إنها انتهكت اتفاقية الإبادة الجماعية خلال حربها على قطاع غزة، والتي أسفرت حتى الآن عن مقتل 41182 فلسطينيًا على الأقل وإصابة 95280 آخرين.
كانت تشيلي أحدث دولة تشير إلى نيتها التدخل في القضية، التي تم رفعها بموجب المادة 63 من النظام الأساسي لمحكمة العدل الدولية.
وبحسب “العربي الجديد” جاء تدخل تشيلي في القضية في الوقت الذي أكد فيه رئيس جنوب إفريقيا سيريل رامافوزا التزامه بالقضية، قائلًا :إن بلاده ستقدم للمحكمة التابعة للأمم المتحدة المزيد من الحقائق والأدلة الشهر المقبل. وقوله للصحفيين يوم السبت: “نحن عنيدون، نحن مصممون على المضي قدمًا في قضيتنا”.
