صوتت 9 دول فقط من أصل 193 دولة لصالح النظام السوري منذ آذار/2011 في قرارات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة ، في حين أعادت بعض الدول العربية علاقاتها مع النظام السوري كانت قد صوتت ضده سابقًا.
وبحسب تقرير أصدرته الشبكة السورية لحقوق الإنسان اليوم فإن الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة أصدرت 17 قرارًا عن سوريا منذ بداية الحراك الشعبي حتى الآن ، أدانت في معظمها انتهاكات النظام السوري، ووصفت بعضها بأنها جرائم ضد الإنسانية، ووقفت إلى جانب حقوق الشعب السوري.
وأضاف المصدر بأن القرارات صنفها التقرير ضمن ثلاث فئات وقال إن الجمعية العامة تبنت 12 قرارًا عن حالة حقوق الإنسان في سوريا ، أدانت عبرها انتهاك النظام السوري لحقوق الإنسان على نحو خطير ومنهجي، من اعتقال وإعدام تعسفي واختفاء قسري.
وأشار المصدر إلى إدانة الهجمات على المراكز الحيوية من مشافٍ ومدارس ودور عبادة وغيرها وأعمال التشريد القسري للسكان في سوريا، وما ينشأ عنها من آثار على ديمغرافية البلد، كما أدانت الانتهاكات من قبل جميع أطراف النزاع.
وطالبت النظام السوري بوضع حد بشكل فوري لجميع انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان ، وأن يوفر الحماية للسكان وأن يمتثل تمامًا لالتزاماته بموجب القانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان ، كما دعت جميع أطراف النزاع إلى الوقف الفوري لجميع أعمال العنف في سوريا، وطالبت بإطلاق السراح الفوري لجميع المعتقلين تعسفيًّا.
وفقًا للتقرير فقد عارضت 9 دول فقط جميع قرارات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة المتعلقة بسوريا منذ آذار/ 2011، وبالتالي فهي صوَّتت لصالح النظام السوري بشكل مستمر، طيلة الاثني عشر عامًا الماضية، وجميع هذه الدول دكتاتورية وقمعية ، وهي : روسيا، إيران، الصين، كوبا، كوريا الشمالية، فنزويلا، أوزبكستان، بيلاروسيا نيكاراغوا.
