نشرت الخارجية الأمريكية عبر حسابها الرسمي في موقع تويتر اليوم الخميس، بيانًا قالت فيه إنّ استخدام روسيا الفيتو في نقض قرار مجلس الأمن الرامي إلى تمديد آلية المساعدات الإنسانية عبر الحدود إلى سوريا يحمل عواقب وخيمة على حياة الناس ويُعرّضهم للموت.
وأضافت الخارجية الأمريكية في بيانها أنّه يجب تدارك الأمر بسرعة وإعادة فتح معبر باب الهوى.
وأردفت الخارجية الأمريكية أنّ الشعب السوري عانى بما فيه الكفاية ولا ينبغي أن تزيد المخاطر عليه حيث لا يمكنه تحمُّل المزيد.
