شهدت دمشق اليوم توقيع اتفاقية رئيسية وست مذكرات تفاهم بين وزارة الطاقة السورية وعدد من الشركات السعودية وذلك في مبنى الوزارة بحضور الوزير محمد البشير وتهدف هذه التفاهمات إلى توسيع التعاون في مجالات الكهرباء والبترول، بما يشمل مشاريع النقل والتوزيع والمسح الجيوفيزيائي والجيولوجي وخدمات الحقول البترولية، إلى جانب حفر وصيانة الآبار، وتطوير الكوادر البشرية عبر التدريب الفني
أكد فؤاد موسى وكيل وزارة الطاقة السعودية، أن هذه الخطوة تعكس عمق الروابط بين الشعبين السوري والسعودي، موضحًا أن الاتفاقات الموقعة ستتحول إلى مشاريع عملية على أرض الواقع، على أن يبدأ تطبيقها بشكل كامل مع نهاية العام الجاري، بما يسهم في تطوير القدرات السورية في مجالي النفط والكهرباء التقليدية والمتجددة
من جانبه أوضح أحمد السليمان، مدير الاتصال الحكومي في وزارة الطاقة السعودية، أن الاتفاقية مع شركة أكوا باور تتضمن إنشاء محطات كهربائية تعتمد على الطاقة الكهروضوئية والريحية مع إمكانية التخزين، إضافة إلى مذكرتي تفاهم في قطاع الكهرباء وأربع مذكرات تخص النفط والغاز
بدوره بيّن مدير المؤسسة العامة للنفط في سوريا موسى فشتوك، أن التعاون مع الشركات السعودية سيتركز على إعادة تأهيل حقول الغاز وزيادة الإنتاج من خلال إصلاح الآبار والاستفادة من خبرة هذه الشركات، بما يدعم التوجه نحو تعزيز الاعتماد على الذات في قطاع الطاقة
