Thier pictures are on magazines front pages, on TV, on Social Media, the Arabic Media and the media of the world in general, they are under the spotlight to the old, the young, the poor and the the rich: they are the children of Syria, the displaced children who are seeking life amid bloody war that grinds on more and more every day. These children have cried grealty adding more salt to their bitter lives. Probably that furor in the media and those broadcasted millions photos have not and will not bestow these kids any relief or comfort to face the harsh days in their lives; these photos were only moments for which pressmen and newsmen were get paid thousands dollers in return, by those who claimed humanity, to show them on TV sets next to some words arousing grieve “What is these Children’s fault?” that break the hearts of televiewed.
Deprive and suffering in which Syrian children are living, can not be counted. There is no single child, whether in regime-held areas or opposition factions territories and enclaves, who has not been affected by the results of the brutal war: miserable living conditions and dire health conditions in refuging camps, life under airstrikes by air force, life under offensive with missiles and shells, kidnapping, killing for several reasons particularly for money, or deprive from mother’s tenderness or father’s protection; education or a house in which they can have safety and warmth.
So many organizations and charities have hosted activities and events aiming only to draw smiles on the kids’ faces, hoping this might decrease the negative impacts of war on them in order to encourage them to proceed studying despite obstacles they are facing. In fact, these are only activities and events for few hours and days, where they usually cost big amounts of money, besides, they are over pretty soon; how for the kids who lost his/ her mother or family, to forget them with their live images in his /her memory; how for the children who lost their limbs to forget his/ her grieve. Those activities and events are soothing for only few hours.
Syria’ children are its furture; from their heads no one can erase that bloody cruel scenes of war and suffering, the scenes will always continue flashing inside their memories waiting for soon relief of new bright sunshine to enjoy it again. The world needs to stop speeches and conferences; Stop standing innovation showing fake sympathy and grieve; children in Syria are not in need of that.. they are way more aware to be laughed at with some candies or new clothes.
