UNICEF has started to pay for the teachers in the Syrian schools around Turkey after being adopted by the ministry of education as temporary centers for teaching after years of adopting it by organizations of the civil community, and most the Syrians schools in Turkey, they become included in the UN program.
UNICEF is now paying the salaries of teachers in those schools after making a list with probative information including refugee ID, diploma. The salary that UNICEF is paying for every teacher in these schools is not more 900 Turkish Pounds.
The manager of one of these schools in Antakia confirmed that the organization is paying the salaries for this school that includes at least 25 teachers according to the educational laws adopted in Turkey.
The manager of the school on the Turkey-Syrian borders referred to fact that after the manger of education facility in the Turkish province adopted a temporary center for teaching for the number of students and the needed number of teachers in addition that there is a manager assigned by the Turkish ministry of education.
The assistant of a school of theses in Istanbul pointed at that there are Syrian schools in Turkey which are not included in UNICEF program; these are the ones that have not signed the cooperating protocol with the Turkish Ministry of Education or signed that protocol but theirs expenses are collected from the organizations of civil community referring to the fact that the Turkish government aims to make all the Syrians schools linked to it and not counting on what students pay for the school which is really happening in Ghaziantep city where most schools in the city have signed the cooperation protocol with education facility in it .
Opening temporary education centers for the Syrian students is running quickly everyday where almost daily seven centers at least are opening in all around Turkey.
A managing stuff in one school in Iskandron revealed the role of the temporary Syrian government in the educational process for the Syrian students in Turkey was represented in making the educational plan and counted colloquium through discussing them with the Turkish government.
In the next stage there will be a raise in included Syrians teachers’ salaries which may reach 1300 Turkish pounds.
