The Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military coordination with Russia in Syria aims at achieving the success in war on terrorism, Tass News Agency reported.
“We have now ended a very effective and extensive meeting. We have signed a few important deals for both countries,” Netanyahu said on Tuesday at a press conference after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Israeli prime minster spoke about the historic bonds which link Tel Aviv with Moscow and said that the talks focused on the coming 25 years in the common cooperation.
Netanyahu reiterated that military contacts have to continue in Syria to avoid incidents and problems.
On his side, the Russian president Vladimir Putin said that Israel is a state of great importance to Russia in the Middle East.
The visit of Netanyahu to Moscow is timed to the 25th anniversary of restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
