Clashes in eastern Ghouta amid heavy shelling resulted in the death of a civilian in Douma

Clashes broke out Monday evening between rebel factions and regime forces on the front of Damascus-Homs international highway, amid an attempt by the latter to advance in the region. The clashes were accompanied by artillery and missile shelling, resulting in the death of a civilian in Douma.

This escalation follows an attempt by the regime forces and its militias to advance on the front of Damascus-Homs international highway towards the northern Duma farms, starting by artillery and a missile shelling from the mountains overlooking Ghouta. but this attempt was failed with no progress until now.
