Lebanese Army Raids Syrian Refuging Camps Arresting Hundreds Men and Women

Troops of the Lebanese army stormed into camps of Syrian refugees in Arsal area eastern Lebanon early on Wednesday taking into custody several refugees.

al-Nahar paper mentioned on Wednesday that forces of the Lebanese army raided over 20 camps in Arsal district hosting Syrians refugees early at 5 am conducting a wave of arrests against many men and women who do not have residence permit, or who are summoned.

The Lebanese army erected several checkpoints in the town and at its entrance to search passersby.

Activists said over 300 men and 20 women were arrested in this raid, Syrian Press Center did not manage to verify the number.
