976 Civilians Tortured to Death in Syria in 2018

976 civilians were tortured to death in Syria in 2018, 97% of them passed away in regime custody.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights mentioned in its report on Wednesday that it documented the deaths of 976 civilians who died under torture, regime was to blame for killing 951 including 11 children and 2 ladies in its detention centers.

Besides, a lady died under torture by Islamist groups, while another was tortured to death by ISIS.

The source added that 9 civilians including a child, were tortured to death by Syrian opposition, while 10 others died under torture by Self-Governance forces.

5 others passed away under torture by other actors, the Syrian Network for Human Rights added.
