49Bombed Mosques in The First Half of 2017

Documentation Office in Syrian Press Center (SPC), has documented that 49 mosques have been bombed by regime forces and its Russian ally in addition to international coalition in the first half of 2017 in the areas held by opposition factions within the barbaric campaign against mosques; the highest rate of bombed mosques took place in the governorates of Raqqa and Deir Azzor (23 mosques)

*- The Bombed moaques according to province:

●The Bombed mosques in Idlib governorate:

– Shoayb mosque in Idlib city, it was bombed by regime military fighters on 26, Febraury.

– The Big Mosque in Jiser al-Shogure city, it was raided by the Russian air force on 20, March.

– al-Rahman mosque in al-Arbeen Mountain, it was targeted by the Russian military fighters on 29, March.

– Omar Abdul Aziz Mosque in al-Deir al-Sharqi village, it was targeted by the Russian military fighters on 29, March.

– al-Rawda mosque in Salqin city, it was bombed by the Russian air force on 4, April.

– al-Firduse mosque in Sarmeen city, it was targeted by the Russian military fighters on 27, April.

– Abo Bakir al-Sideeq mosque in Marshoreen village, it was raided by the Russian military fighters on 27, April.

● The Bombed mosques in Raqqa governorate:

– The mosque in Suwaydia Kibera village, it was raided by the military fighters of the International Coalition on 19, January.

– Ja’far bin Aby Talib mosque in al-Rahyat village in Raqqa, it was raided by the Russian fighting jets on 14, April.

– Hamady al-Alaway mosque in Hanida town, it was bombed by the military fighters of the International Coalition on 3, May.

– al-Orwa al-Wothqa mosque in Hineda town in Raqaa countryside, it was targeted by the fighting jets of the International Coalition on 6, May.

– Western al-Hamadaway mosque in Kideran village in Raqqa, it was raided by the military fighters of the International Coalition on 8, May.

– Abo Bakir al-Sideeq mosque in Dibsy Faraj village in Raqqa, it was targeted by the fighting jets of the International Coalition on 17, May.

– al-Hassain bin Ali mosque in Raqqa city, it was bombed by the military fighters of the International Coalition on 6, June.

– al-Sibahia mosque in Raqqa city, it was raided by the military fighters of the International Coalition on 8, June.

– al-Noor mosque in Raqqs city, it was targeted by the fighting jets of the International Coalition on 10, June.

– The Big Mosque in Raqas city, it was shelled by artillery of the Kurdish units on 14, June.

– Mona mosque in Raqqa city, it was shelled by artillery of the Kurdish units on 15, June.

– al-Mansory mosque in Raqaa city, it was bombed by artillery of the Kurdish units on 16, June.

– al-Nawawi mosque in Raqqa city, it was targeted by the fighting jets of the International Coalition on 18, June.

● The Bombed mosques in Deir Azzor governorate:

– al-Tabia mosque in al-Tabia Shamia village in Deir Azzor eastern countryside, it was raided by regime military fighters on 23, January.

– Aysha mosque in al-Hamedia neighborhood in Deir Azzor, it was raided by the International Coalition air force on 7, February.

– Mosa’b bin Omeer mosque in al-Hamidia neighborhood, it was targeted by regime military fighters on 4, May.

– al-Rahman mosque in Bu Kamal city, it was raided by the military fighters of the International Coalition on 15, May.

– Othman bin Afan mosque in Quria city, it was bombed by regime military fighters on 28, May.

– Abo Bakir al-Sideeq mosque in Mahemdia village in Deir Azzor, it was targeted by the air force of the International Coalition on 10, June.

– The mosque of Hawayj Bumasa’ town in Deir Azzor, it was raided by the military fighters of the International Coalition on 10, June.

– al-Shohada’ mosque in al-Hamidia neighborhood in Deir Azzor, it was raided by regime military fighters on 13, June.

– al-Zobeer mosque in Kisret Faraj in Deir Azzor, it was bombed by the military fighters of the International Coalition on 21, June.

– Harweel moaque in al-Ardy neighborhood north Deir Azzor city, it was raided by regime military fighters on 24, June.

●The Bombed mosques in Aleppo governorate:

– Northern Abo Jabar mosque in Kherbit Kayar village in Aleppo eastern rural, it was bombed by the Russian air force on 18, January.

– The mosque in Siraj Fara’ village in Aleppo countryaide, it was shelled by regime forces with artillery on 10, February.

– al-Tobih mosque in al-Jeana town, it was bombed by the military fighters of the International Coalition on 16, March.

– The Big mosque in Maret al-Atareb town, it was bombed by the Russian air force on 20, March.

– The mosque in Kafarnaha town, it was raided by the Russian air force on 31, March.

– The mosque in al-Towama town in Aleppo, it was shelled by regime artillery on 25, March.

– al-SayyadMosque in Jamayat al-Kahraba neighborhood in Aleppo, it was raided by regime helicopters on 28, April.

– al-Hidaya mosque in al-Ja’abat neighborhood in Aleppo, it was raided by regime helicopters on 15, May.

● The Bombed schools and academies in Damascus countryside governorate:

– The Northern mosque in Madaya town, it was shelled by regime artillery on 12, January.

– al-Fateh mosque in Hazrama town, it was bombed by regime artillery on 12, January.

– Abo Bakir al-Sideeq mosque in Qabon neighborhood, it was shelled by regime artillery on 27, February.

– al-Rawda mosque in Hamorey town, it was raided by regime helicopters on 25, March.

– al-Naasan mosque in Douma city, it was raided by regime military fighters on 4, April.

– Kafarbatna town mosque, it was raided by the Russian air force on 12, April.

● The Bombed mosques in Dara’ governorate:

– al-Khalaf mosque in al-Ghariyya al-Gharbia town, it was bombed by regime artillery on 14, January.

– al-Omary mosque in Dara’ al-Balad, it was raided by regi.me helicopters on 9, June.

● The bombed mosques in Hama governorate:

– Ahmad al-Rifa’ay mosque in Hilfaya city, it was bombed by regime air force on 25, March.

– Abo Bakir al-Sideeq mosque in al-Zakat village, it was shelled by regime artillery on 17, May.

● The bombed mosque in Homs governorate:

– The big mosque in Taldo city, it was shelled by regime artillery on 24, March.

*- It is worthy to mention that the highest rate regarding bombed mosques, according to the report, was by regime forces (20 mosques), followed by the international coalition military fighters (15 mosques), then the Russian air force with (11 mosques), according to a statistic by Documentation Office in Syrian Press Center.
