Russian jet fighters carried out Monday evening air raids on villages in Saraqeb in Idlib countryside, Orient Newscorrespondent reported.

The aerial attacks targeted residential areas in Abu al-Dhour and Tal al-Toughan villages using vacuum bombs. Twelve civilians were killed in Abu al-Dhour, including women and children, while five others were killed in Tal al-Toughan village.

Russian warplanes carried out more than thirty air strikes on the area where the Russian helicopter was downed, and on the surrounding areas including al-Baraghithy, al-Jdeideh, Tal al-Haleeb, and Ras al-Ein in Idlib eastern countryside, according to Syria Live Network.

These attacks come after opposition fighters shot down, earlier today, a Russian helicopter, leading to the death of its crew members who were on board.
