Death is not the only result of raids and barrel bombs which everyday target the residential buildings in the Syrian liberated areas, but massive destruction caused to buildings is also taken into consideration as another result; this destruction is caused also to glass as well besides stones turning the shops and windows to fatal slivers even in case they are tiny.
The citizens suffer from a problem of repairing the damages left by air strikes where probably the high prices of basic construction materials such as building stone and cement sometimes make it so difficult so that many of these people leave the ruined rooms becoming not suitable for residence because of fearing being targeted again by regime warplanes.
Through the years of war, Syrians have been excellent in finding replacements and alternatives of lower cost fulfilling the need due to an aim to move on living; at the beginning they we were replacing glass boarders of the windows with strong kind of nylon fearing putting again glass which can be broken again because of missiles and bombs in addition to being costing much for the meter of it is 4 thousands to 7 thousands Syrian pounds according to its kind ; however, nylon can not be a shelter of summer’s hot weather or winter’s cold one.
That is why faber boarders or what is called “carbon boarders” have spread in the northern in Syria; they are made of several layers of plastic with two colors (white and bronze). These kind of boarders were used to ceil swimming pools, plastic tents or as sunshade in front of shops. These faber boarders have many features the most important one is that being similar to glass letting light in through them; being unbreakable bearing high pressures and strong shocks, they are also can not be burnt or help burning and they are light as well.
Rami who is a carpenter in Idlib city said:” recently “carbon boarders” have been ordered more due to its low cost in addition to being less harms once targeting nearby area by warplanes in comparing with the glass; where the meter of them is 1600 Syrian pounds. Considering winter is coming soon; everyone whose house window got damaged will replace them before it gets cold”.
Om-Salem from Idlib city said:” Our house was four times damaged where in every time part of the house destroyed; despite that we are willing to live here in it under warplanes mercy than to live as refugees or displaced. We have tried to fix what we can according to what we have where we finally use carbon boarders since they are cheap and can take the pressure of missiles not becoming fatal silvers”.
Idlib city and its countryside witness an intensive military campaign carried out by regime and Russian warplanes in revenge for the continual advancement of rebels in the northern countryside of Hama; these raids leaves massive destruction specially the BGU-28 bombs that have been used recently against citizens the thing forced citizens to fix what is possible in their houses after they refused seeking refuge or displacement.
