Until the moment Assad regime has not committed to what is claimed to be truce continuing to carried out offensive for several hours in the area of Wadi Barada in Damascus rural. Regime intensively assaults the area in a way that greatly violate the humanitarian principles denying the validity of reaching a deal to cease fire through brutally bombardment which the taken photos show it confirming that helicopters of regime dropped barrel bombs on opposition factions in the countryside of Barada.
Guided military campaigns by Assad regime prove that cease fire has not come into effect, and the attempts by regime forces and Lebanese Hezbollah militias to advance and sneak into Ain Fijeh, the main source providing Damascus city with dinking water.
The question arises clear to everyone, why Wadi Barada area despite encircling it for up to four years?
Probably the truth announces the strategic importance of Wadi Barada area and the fact that Assad regime and pro militias always seek to control the areas by the Lebanese borders linking with Qalamon to Alqusair specially for being connected to reinforcement roads.
Geography is much more important to regime than the souls of the citizens in this area; the strategy of scorched earth which regime will not leave even if it costs claiming thousands innocent souls of the original citizens.
That area which is located 15 KM northwest from the capital Damascus and 11 KM from the Lebanese borders which Hezbollah use to move from and to Syria.
Assad helicopters dropped up to 50 barrel bombs randomly on the area which led to destroy the water pumpers inside Ain Fijeh and polluted the water with fuel, oil and chlorine as well as turning big amount of the spring water to Barada River which flooded with water.
A humanitarian crisis it is to be added to the black record of Assad regime who sentence all the aspects of life to doom on a land whose citizens refuse to kneel down despite the siege.
Om Talal described the dire situation there , where she is living as a displaced in the northern Syria through communicating with her relatives on social media, he said:” The houses lack water which hardens the lives of a mothers who are heartbroken for polluting the water, we will never forgive regime for the crimes committed and fierce bombardment, we will go on demonstrations ‘no For Truce’ till regime commit to the cease fire and halt the offensive”.
The statements of the adviser of UN special dispute for Syria reveal the humanitarian crisis:” up to 5 million and 500 thousand persons in Damascus only are deprived from water or received less water”.
The water of Ain Fijeh is not no longer the purest water in the world after barbaric assault targeted it; the thing hurts millions of Syrians.
