Assad jet fighters conducted on Sunday a series of airstrikes on both sides of Kastello Road to support Assad terrorists attempting to cut the strategic lifeline, the last supply route used by the opposition from Aleppo northern countryside to the opposition-held enclave of Aleppo, Aleppo Today reported.
Activists warned civilians against taking the Kastello Road because it has become a dangerous military zone witnessing the fiercest clashes between opposition fighters and Assad terrorists.
In the interim, opposition fighters destroyed an Assad terrorists’ rocket launcher in the heart of al-Nairab military airport, anti-armor missile was used.
Opposition are launching launch offensive sought to push Assad terrorists back from Kastello Road which is now effectively besieged by Assad regime.
The Kastello Road was effectively cut-off by Assad mercenaries early this month when they seized a hilltop within range of the key supply line to be within 500m of the road and firing on any vehicle trying to use it. Many civilians were reported to have lost their lives when Assad snipers shot at them.
