It has been up to a year and three months for the suffocating siege forced on Alhama and Qodsayya by regime forces and pro militias where the civilians there are no longer able to come in and out of the area with the restrictions of the checkpoints in surrounding district. Here impossible becomes facing the citizens there due to there is no foodstuff particularly the basic ones or even babies milk that is the most necessary stuff.
Although the citizens are facing these circumstances and that bitter days with patience, the military escalation brutal offensive increases targeting residential buildings and districts besides crowded points at the time hospitals and civil defense centers were not saved from that bombardment.
The truce was not but a solution to guarantee the safety of the citizens and a means to avoid the area more destruction and ruin; for that solution was preceded by the forced displacement area which took place in Darayya and in the suburbs of “Sayyada Zainab” in south the capital Damascus.
With opposition forces retreatment from new locations on which they had control earlier in Aloyon line in the outskirts of Alhama in the western countryside of Damascus and handling them to regime forces for sure according to an initial dealing between the two parties.
Due to the high strategic location of that areas, it becomes the main reason for changing equation in advantage for regime forces in gaining more points; regime forces start to advance and sneak into new areas being covered with intensive shelling where these forces controlled Albakhera strategic building in Aloyon district next to other points. It is a regime seeks with support and coordination of its allies of the Iranian militias and the Russia aid, to cause demographic change in the area replacing the original citizens with Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Lebanese Hezbollah along with their families in addition to pro regime families as well.
Besides activists confirmed that (displacement operations) with security intimidation is way matchless the forced displacement which Darayya went through before. This a scenario to be repeated again like that one in Darayya after Alzabadaney and Madaya earlier.. reaching Alhama and Qodsayya where in every time they are driven to Idlib which received them with all brotherhood intimacy and cordiality despite it faces big pressures because of the increasing need for basic necessities to find the suitable residency for those families.
In our visit for displaced on their first morning in a refuge center in “Ihsan Mobeyyed”, we met Om-Mohammed (aged 35 years old and from Qodsayya) who told us in grieve:” We are living in something similar to a dream today in refuge and displacement and yesterday we were forced to abandon our houses.. for how the Syrian people will suffer from oppression and displacement because of Bashar Assad’ regime?”
Families of women and children “Displaced” becomes the name they are called with against their will waiting for the rest of the family and relatives to follow them; for they are waiting for those arrested of women and children after promises by regime to release them.. will they be released or a regime known for breaching truces will not fulfill these promises as usual?
