Documentation Office in Syrian Press Center (SPC), has documented last August 31 massacres in opposition factions-held areas, most of them took place in the governorate of Raqqa, in the wake of bombardment by regime forces, its Russian ally and the air force of the International Coalition which is launching campaign to fight ISIS in the provinces of Raqqa and Deir Azzor.
*- The massacres according to perpetrator, are classified as follows:
– 19 massacres committed by the military fighters of the International coalition.
– 7 massacres committed by the Russian air force.
– 4 massacres committed by regime forces.
– 1 massacre committed by ISIS fighters.
*- The massacres according to governorate, are classified as follows:
●18 massacres occurred in Raqqa province , including:
▪ 17 massacres committed by the military fighters of the International Coalition, with a death toll of 301 martyrs.
▪ 1 massacre committed by the Russian air force, with a death toll of 5 martyrs.
● 6 massacres occurred in Deir Azzor province, including:
▪ 4 massacres committed by the Russian air force, with a death toll of 28 martyrs.
▪ 1 massacre committed by the fighting jets of the International Coalition, with a death toll of 4 martyrs.
▪1 massacre committed by ISIS fighters with a death toll of 5 martyrs.
– 3 massacres occurred in Hama province, including:
▪ 2 massacres committed by the Russian air force with a death toll of 75 martyrs.
▪ 1 massacre committed by regime forces, with a death toll of 7 martyrs.
– 2 massacres occurred in Damascus countryside, committed by regime forces with a death toll of 9 martyrs.
– 1 massacre occurred in Aleppo province, committed by regime forces with a death toll of 5 martyrs.
– 1 massacre occurred in Hasaka , committed by the fighting jets of the International Coalition, with a death toll of 17 martyrs.
*- It is worthy to mention that the massacres numbering 291, which took place in the first half of 2017, included 106 massacres by the fighting jets of the International Coalition, where the massacres committed in the governorates of Raqqa and Deir Azzor reached 110.
*- Besides, the martyrs in last August reached 758 persons, according to a statistic by Documentation Office in Syrian Press Center.
