Documentation Office in Syrian Press Center (SPC), has documented in October 12 massacres in the areas held by opposition factions, most of them occurred in Deir Azzor province, with a total death toll of 139 martyrs in the wake of bombardment by regime forces and the Russian air force, in addition to the raids carried out by US-led coalition fighting jets, which are launching a campaign to fight ISIS in the provinces of Raqqa and Deir Azzor.
*- The massacres according to perpetrator are as follows:
– The Russian air force committed 9 massacres through launching intense raids on the governorate of Deir Ezzor, with a death toll of 94 martyrs.
– Military fighters of US-led coalition which is launching a campaign to fight ISIS in Raqqa and Deir Azzor provinces, committed 2 massacres through launching intense raids on the governorate of Raqqa, with a death toll of 40 martyrs.
– Regime forces through military operations, artillery offensive, and airstrikes, committed 1 massacre, with a death toll of 5 martyrs.
*- The massacres according to provinces are as follows:
• 8 massacres were committed in the province of Deir Ezzor, including:
– 7 massacres were committed by the Russian air force with a death toll of 90 martyrs.
– 1 massacre was committed by regime forces with a death toll of 4 martyrs.
• 2 massacres were committed in the province of Raqqa, by the military fighters of US-led Coalition, with a death toll of 40 martyrs.
• 1 massacre was committed in the province of Hama by the Russian air force with a death toll of 4 martyrs.
•1 massacre was committed in the province of Damascus countryside by regime forces with a death toll of 5 martyrs.
*- It is worthy to mention that the martyrs in 2017 untill the moment of editing the report on 19th October have reached 8626 persons, including :
– 1957 martyrs by warplanes of US-led coalition.
– 1317 martyrs by the Russian air force
,where most of them passed away in massacres that took place in the governorates of Raqaa and Deir Ezzor, according to a statistic by Documentation Office in Syrian Press Center.
